At Titans, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and disciplined training environment where everyone can improve and enjoy martial arts.
This Code of Conduct exists to ensure that all members uphold the standards of our academy. Students must agree to abide by this code of conduct upon registration.
Any student who fails to follow the code may be asked to leave the club. If a student acts out of alignment with the code and has been asked to leave, a refund will not be issued.
1. Respect for Training Partners and the Club
- Treat all teammates, instructors, and visitors with courtesy and professionalism.
- Show humility in both victory and defeat — your character matters as much as your skill.
- Handle all academy equipment and facilities with care.
2. Sportsmanship On and Off the Mats
- Train and compete with fairness, humility, and self-control.
- Support teammates during training, competition, and promotions.
- Celebrate wins with gratitude and accept losses as opportunities to learn.
3. Cleanliness & Hygiene
- Wear a clean gi or training attire to every class.
- Keep nails trimmed and maintain good personal hygiene.
- Tie back hair in a manner that ensures it does not interfere with technical training, such as braids.
- Remove shoes before stepping on the mats.
- Shower after training to protect yourself and others from skin infections.
- Stay home if feeling unwell.
4. Cleaning Up After Yourself
- Put away borrowed gear and training equipment after use.
- Dispose of trash in the proper bins.
- Wipe down any training area or equipment you have used, including shared fitness gear.
5. Safety and Control
- Apply techniques with care and respect your partner’s tap immediately.
- Tap quickly to avoid injury.
- Avoid any reckless behavior that may cause injury.
- Communicate with your partner to ensure safe and effective training.
- Never act with intent to cause harm.
6. Commitment to Learning
- Arrive on time, ready to train, and follow the instructor’s guidance.
- Maintain focus during class — avoid unnecessary talking or distractions.
- Approach training with an open mind and willingness to learn.
